House of Partnership
With this house, we are seeing a shift from ourselves to another – a partner or a spouse. By working together and connecting with one another, we unite in order to achieve things. The goal for the seventh house is important – to accomplish something big or small for yourself, the company and even the community as a whole. In union with another, we also become a more valuable member of our world: We make a living, a small gear in the wheel. We have a purpose. Collaboration helps accelerate our purpose in life.
Through a partnership, we fill our inherent existence. Suddenly, we see ourselves in the field. Through a partnership in which we work, play, love or create, we are fully formed and perfected. The other half helps us reach perfection. Ultimately, how we relate to others will help us determine the success we have as a human being and as a member of humanity.
The seventh house shows us that partnership can take many forms: marriage, business relationships, contracts, laws, negotiations, and agreements. We will contribute more or less to this diverse partnership. The quality of this collaboration, in essence how we relate to each other, is key to the seventh house. Why do we choose this partnership? Is it for love or money? Reasons for usefulness? Social considerations? There are many reasons to be united with others. We may choose to fill the void we see in ourselves. We may simply want another group or partnership. The partnerships we form represent a great deal about us and also serve much to educate us. This House wants us to know that the quality of our partnerships makes our lives easier, more complete, more special and better for everyone.
Tension in a partnership also teaches us lessons. For this reason, the seventh house also focuses on the darker side of our links. Divorce, lawsuits and treaties all take place in this house. At its worst, partnerships can create enemies – and on a more global scale, this gap can lead to war. It is our response to the disaster that will still shape the partnerships to come.
